Thousands of COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits, medicines, and face masks were among the imported counterfeit goods confiscated from a warehouse in Quiapo last week; it was estimated that the goods amounted to Php 150 million.
The Bureau of Customs said they have arrested a Chinese national, whom they refused to identify. They said he would be charged with unlawful importation and violating the regulations of the Food and Drug Administration.
Agents found thousands of counterfeit antigen test kits, herbal medicines, N95 masks, and other fake goods in the warehouse.
Digos City in Davao del Sur also reported the arrest of two layout artists who are selling fake vaccination cards and other bogus documents as well.
