Nine individuals were arrested by the Manila Police District after presenting fake documents to be eligible for Covid-19 vaccines.
An MPD spot report released by the Manila Public Information Office stated the suspects presented fake medical certificates at the Sergio Osmeña High School vaccination site in Gagalangin, Tondo.
Six Chinese nationals and three Filipinos, two of them aged 19, allegedly showed fake medical certificates, the spot report read.The three Filipinos, all female, are from Quezon City.
The vaccination rollout at the high school was for the A3 priority group, or those aged 18-59 with comorbidities.
They need to present a medical certificate (dated within 18 months), prescription of maintenance medicines (for six months), hospital records such as discharge summary or medical abstract, or surgical and pathology records.
The arrested individuals were brought to the Tondo Police Station 1, but were later on released.
