A 29-year-old Filipina has tested positive for COVID-19 in Hong Kong, according to the Philippine Consulate General, citing information relayed by the Hong Kong Health Department.
This brings the number of Filipinos with COVID-19 in Hong Kong to two.
The consulate said it immediately spoke with the second patient to ascertain her condition, and that the OFW is in good spirits and has no fever. She, however, was put in isolation.
She requested for some personal items from the Consulate which they immediately secured for her. She also asked that her identity be kept secret.
According to Hong Kong’s Department of Health – Centre for Health Protection, the employer of the Pinay worker also earlier tested positive for COVID-19 infection.
She developed fever on February 16 and consulted a private doctor on February 20 and 24. The OFW had no travel history during the incubation period.
