‘Glee’ Creators Set Up College Fund for Naya Rivera’s Son

The creators of “Glee” are setting up a college fund for Naya Rivera’s four-year-old son.

The actress’ body was recovered from Lake Piru in California on July 13, days after she went missing during a boating trip with her son, Josey.

An autopsy ruled she died from drowning. “Glee” producers Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan described the former child actor as a “joy to write for, a joy to direct and a joy to be around.”

They added, “The three of us are currently in the process of creating a college fund for the beautiful son Naya loved most of all.”

Rivera played openly gay cheerleader Santana Lopez on the TV musical which debuted in 2009. She appeared in nearly every episode of the show, which ended in 2015.

The “Glee” cast joined Rivera’s friends for a moment of remembrance at Lake Piru last July 13. The group was pictured holding hands and looking out across the lake as they shouted: “Say her name — Naya”.
