Croatian bar sells vaccine-inspired cocktails with a twist

Fancy a sip of the Pfizer? – That is a question that no one has probably ever thought of asking until now.

A bar in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, is now serving drinks named after the popular novel coronavirus disease vaccines. So the bar’s customers can walk in to the establishment and order an ‘Astra Zeneca, Sputnik, Moderna or Pfizer.’

But instead of the medical mixture injected into your arm, the cocktail inspired by the Pfizer vaccine is made up of a mixture of American whiskey and German digestif Jägermeister – which is made with 56 herbs and spices – while the one inspired by Moderna uses American Bourbon.

Tomislav Perko, the owner the Roots bar which is selling the drinks, jokingly said: “The cocktails are strong. We don’t recommend more than two doses per person, although some violated our ‘medical recommendations’. Apart from difficulty walking home or morning hangover there were no major side effects.”
