More campuses offered as vaccination centers

At least 34 colleges and universities in different parts of the country have offered their facilities to be used as additional coronavirus disease vaccination centers, according to the Commission on Higher Education.

CHED chairman Prospero de Vera said another 17 higher education institutions were added to the list of those that have already reached out to their respective local government units for the possible use of their facilities as inoculation sites.

Among them were Dr. Yanga’s College in Bulacan; University of the Philippines Los Baños in Laguna; Iloilo Science and Technology University; University of San Agustin in Iloilo; Cebu Institute of Technology; Capiz State University; Ateneo de Zamboanga University; the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University in General Santos City; and Northern Bukidnon State College.

De Vera said more institutions have signified their interest to become vaccination sites and help speed up the rollout.
