How China’s poverty eradication work contributes to the world (Part Three)

China has taken on a major role in global poverty management.

First, China has supported other developing countries in poverty alleviation since the founding of the country.

It launched the Belt and Road Initiative to expand regional cooperation on economic and social development and to help eligible countries better achieve poverty alleviation. According to a World Bank study, the initiative will help eight million people out of extreme poverty and 32 million out of moderate poverty in these countries.

Second, China launched international poverty alleviation cooperation projects for the benefit of all. In Africa, China has helped countries build facilities including water conservancy infrastructure, vocational and technical schools, and government-subsidized housing.

Third, China shared its experience in poverty reduction, carrying out exchanges and cooperation, including building platforms, organizing training, and conducting think tank exchanges.
