Twitter blocks U.S. Republican lawmaker account over COVID-19 claims

Twitter has permanently suspended the personal account of Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene for violating the platform’s COVID-19 misinformation policy.

In the statement, they opted to shut down Greene’s personal account for repeated violations of the policy, but she still has access to her other handle for congressional use.

Greene retaliated regarding her suspension, saying the move proves the social media giant is an “enemy to America.”

She was previously suspended in August for saying the FDA should not approve vaccines because of its failure to slow the spread of the virus.
