Parañaque Fire Leaves 200 Families Homeless

At least 200 families lost their homes after a fire razed a residential area in Parañaque City on on the night of February 28. The blaze affected around 75 houses in Barangay San Antonio, the Bureau of Fire Protection said.

The blaze reached Task Force Alpha at around 6:10 p.m., destroying about 800,000 pesos worth of property, before it was put out at around 8:29 p.m.

There were several residents injured in the blaze. Five persons experienced difficulty breathing, one suffered lacerations while another sustained an abrasion.

Firemen said the cause of the blaze is still under investigation, although it has been reported that the fire broke out on the ground floor of a two-story house of one Junie Guarino.
