NCOV UPDATE 3/3

As of 5 p.m. on March 3, there were over 115 million coronavirus cases globally, with the death toll reaching 2.5 million, according to John Hopkins University. The good news is that there are over 91 million recoveries.

The United States is leading the world in both COVID-19 infections and fatalities, with over 29 million confirmed cases and over 529,000 deaths.

President Joe Biden said they are on track to have enough vaccines for every adult in the country by the end of May.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will extend the lockdown to March 28 while easing some restrictions.

Despite calls from some politicians in Berlin to close one of the EU’s most symbolic crossings, Germany’s border with France will remain open – but with a new negative testing requirement.

Travelers between the French region of Moselle and Germany need to present proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken in the previous 48 hours.
