NCOV UPDATE 2/21

As of 6 p.m. on February 21, there were over 111 million coronavirus cases globally, with the death toll reaching over 2.4 million, according to John Hopkins University. The good news is that there are over 86 million recoveries.

The United States is leading the world in both COVID-19 infections and fatalities, with over 28 million confirmed cases and over 509,000 deaths.

U.S. land borders with Canada and Mexico will remain closed to non-essential travel through March 21 over virus concerns.

Malaysia received its first batch of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines on Sunday, boosting its capability in the fight against the pandemic. Over 312,390 doses of the vaccine arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and were greeted by Malaysian officials.

More than 200 million coronavirus vaccine doses have been administered in at least 107 countries and regions. Some 45 percent of the jabs were reportedly given in G7 countries.
