NCOV UPDATE 2/6

As of 10 a.m. on February 6, there were over 105 million coronavirus cases globally, with the death toll reaching over 2.2 million, according to John Hopkins University. The good news is that there are over 77 million recoveries.

The United States is leading the world in both COVID-19 infections and fatalities, with over 27 million confirmed cases and over 470,000 deaths.

The World Health Organization said the number of coronavirus vaccinations has now overtaken the number of reported infections. The UN health agency called on vaccine manufacturers to scale up production significantly and urged countries to share vaccine doses once they finish vaccinating their priority populations.

Side effects from the UK vaccine roll-out have been in line with clinical trials, with complaints of headaches, nausea and tiredness among the most commonly reported. UK government figures show over 10 million jabs have been administered so far.
