Cebu Pacific commercially launched its test before boarding or TBB process for passengers flying from Manila following its successful pilot run with the local government of General Santos.
The process makes use of an antigen test taken just hours before the scheduled time of departure, with results released within 30 minutes.
Cebu Pacific said the antigen test costs 700 pesos, the lowest rate in the industry.
The TBB testing facility at the NAIA Terminal 3 is open for walk-ins from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
Cebu Pacific also offers RT-PCR tests for only 3,300 pesos through its three partner laboratories, namely Philippine Airport Diagnostic Laboratory, Health Metrics and Safeguard DNA Diagnostics, given that a number of local and international destinations require negative RT-PCR test results prior to entry.
Cebu Pacific said, “We look forward to the day trust and confidence in air travel have been restored, but until then, let us all work together towards that.”
