Jorge started Fresh Neighborhood Seafood during the community quarantine. As a wine merchant, he had to follow government regulations and stop all sales. Since he had no income, he had to be resourceful.
When a mini-market opened in their multipurpose hall, he learned there were a lot of vegetable, fruit, and seafood dealers in his neighborhood. Thus, the concept of the business was born: a community of seafood resellers, dealers, and exporters providing consumers with a wide selection of fresh, premium, and export quality seafood that are locally-sourced.
What started as a simple online post to help them sell their products to Jorge’s network became a business with the help of the Madiskarteng Boss Club.
With Grab, they were able to implement cashless transactions. They also utilize Grab’s Pabili feature to serve clients who want to pay in cash upon delivery.
