FoodPhilippines was featured at the 2020 China-ASEAN Expo which opened on Friday in Nanning, China.
Present at the opening ceremony were Philippine Ambassador to China Jose Sta. Romana along with Chinese and ASEAN representatives.
The Philippines has been participating in CAEXPO every year since it was first held in 2004.This year, healthy and natural is the theme of the Philippine products with over 30 Filipino MSMEs participating.
These include processed foods such as coconut water, dried mango, banana chips, coconut oil, coconut flour, and coconut sap vinegar. The pavilion of the Philippines also featured personal care, tourism and educational services.
The expo aimed to promote cooperation in the digital economy. Buyers were able to view the products of 30 Philippine exhibitors through the website www.foodphilippines.cn.
During the expo, the Philippines earned over 12 million dollars, and up to 1,830 trade inquiries were obtained.
