Singapore-based business process outsourcing firm Everise is increasing its workforce in the Philippines by hiring 2,000 work-from-home employees.
The company said it is recruiting work-from-home staff to supplement its current headcount in the country which stands at 3,042.
Founder and CEO Sudhir Agarwal said the new employees would provide customer experience and support across voice, chat, and email for high-growth technology and healthcare brands.
He added that the company wants to help reduce the rising unemployment rate due to the pandemic. It needs more employees to fulfill the contract agreement with new customers and the extended agreement with old customers.
Everise has two facilities in Bonifacio Global City, but these are now nearly empty as the company moved the bulk of its customer service staff to a work-at-home solution. It has 15 facilities across eight countries, with 12,000 employees globally.
