The Department of Education has added a dropbox mode of enrollment starting June 16 as it pushes to get more learners to sign up for school year 2020-2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The DepEd announced that dropbox enrollment is open to learners and their parents or guardians apart from the ongoing remote enrollment.
The department said, “These dropbox/kiosks, which can be found in barangay halls or schools, will be set up only for picking up and dropping off the learner enrollment survey form.”
It said the remote enrollment has already drawn over 10 million learners to enroll or register remotely.
The DepEd said, “We thank our parents and teachers for supporting our mission of offering learning opportunities amid the COVID-19 pandemic…We reiterate that we are one with the President in saying that the health of our learners is non-negotiable and no face-to-face classes will be conducted until the safety of all is assured.”
