McDonald’s Philippines has announced the release of a 500-million-peso response fund to enable the company to provide assistance for its employees and the communities it serves.
For company employees, the fund covers salaries of restaurant crew and managers—whether they are able to come to work or not—and head office employees, to be released for the period of the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
A special premium pay package will be provided for crew and managers who are able to come to work in selected stores that remain open to serve the community in enhanced quarantine areas. Special benefits like care kits with alcohol, vitamins, and face masks to ensure employee safety in the workplace plus provisions for premium pay will also be given.
For communities, the fund covers food to be donated to frontliners like medical and LGU workers, NGO volunteers, and the marginalized sector who are challenged to access to food at this time.
